    Is it only possible to create 50 different drumkits on the td-20?

        Yes (but chains just step through the 50 kits in a special order).

          What Bruce said... however, having used chains in the past, I got away from them and just started loading custom backups for each set. The main reason behind it was pattern data limitation though. Even though I swapped to triggering tracks from a Fantom, I stayed with the backup-per-set technique. It's just easier in the long run. Also, I have favorite kits at the end, so if I'm faced with a requested song, I usually have a good general kit at the end for various styles.
