If you are referring the (TD-10s) on board compressor, you wont get a TRUE sense of the compression. The onboard effects (including compression) are not the TRUE effects that are noticed, felt and used in a professional application especially LIVE.

They are cool to play with in your homes or studios, but still wont feel the same as professional effects.

I dont think Roland factored that in when they started to make the TDs in general.

Are you using an expanded TD-10? Before expanding the module, the compressor does virtually nothing.

Conclusion: take a screw-driver and remove the compressor from the TD-10 box
