I really wanted to do one. Couldn't get any information out of them, and the format isn't nearly as easy to "crack" as Roland's. (To be fair, Roland's wasn't really protected other than a simple to identify hash/checksum).

Out of curiosity, is this software for windows only? Or will it work with a Mac?

Looks like Windows only. It's an alpha version - not even a beta, so likely a few things still to sort out, but a brave effort (I can't follow half of what he writes in his blog )

I’ve been a C# developer since its inception... and I know Jon’s work, opinions and teachings are very respected in the C# community. He is the author of C# in Depth. I didn’t know he was a drummer though. I would wager the code is pretty solid... even if an alpha release.

If there isn’t a Mac version there may a good chance it can be ported to Xamarin.Mac to get it working on a Mac.
