  • DD505 Kick Drum

Hi all, I'm a new member and new drummer!
ive just purchased a second hand Session Pro DD505 kit, not the best kit I know but budget was right and didn't want to spend to much if I didn't get on with the drums.
Anyway, all was good, I now have an issue with the kick/bass drum. I can hear it via an amp but when I plug in headphones I can't hear it! It wasn't like that yesterday! Could it be the cable? Can't understand why it works through amp but not headphones!?
Your assistance will be greatly received. Cheers

Hi electrodrummer, think it's been resolved now. Identified as a dodgy headphone jack adaptor! I was using my phone headphones as I haven't got round to buying a decent set yet! Excuse my ignorance but what is TRRS plugs?

TRRS - Tip / Ring / Ring / Sleeve - ie headphones that often come with phones with an connector to carry L+R audio + microphone. Can cause grief when plugged into a normal TRS (Tip / Ring / Sleeve) stereo input.

Thanks for your advice on that, much appreciated. How would I know which type I need?

Always use TRS for stereo applications.
