  • Reassigning RDE Input

Hello. I don’t want to use the ride edge (RDE) input on my TD-12 for that purpose. I want to reassign it to another crash. I thought it was be easy as unplugging from the ride and plugging it into the other cymbal and boom..done. But doesn’t work. What am I missing? Thanks.

When it is configured as the Ride Edge it will not work as another cymbal

See p.44 of the Owner's Manual.

You need to go to the Trigger Bank and change Trigger 10 from <Rd Ctrl> to a regular Cymbal Pad type; CY-14C or something.

    Then it should work.

I was able to remove the 3 way sensing from the ride and just use the edge input on another cymbal. It worked great. Thanks!
