  • Garagaband's midi mapping is not working with my Alesis Drum Kit

    Hi!
I've been reading online guides fro a month straight now and I haven't been able to solve my issue.

    I've got:
    - Alesis DM6 Nitro Kit
    - Midi-USB interface: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    - Latest version of Garage Band in iOS SO
    - MT Power Drum Kit plugin in

    What happens:
    - I turn on my edrum
    - I plug the cable (leads are on, so it seems to be working)
    - I turn on Garage band, select Midi instrument (Midi input is active)
    - I turn on plugin

    But nothing happens.

I've tried to map midi input, ma I don't have any response from my kit: it seems that my laptop knows there's a MIDI cable but not actual input are given.

I've tried this guide: https://getsatisfaction.com/alesis/t...is-dm6-usb-kit but it doesn't change anhything.

    Can you help me ?
I'd like to record some basic stuff. I don't need complex setting.

    Thanks.

Also no reaction when playing the GarageBand-built-in drum kit?

What if you connect the module directly via USB midi?

      Thanks for replying, Nick
      The built-in one works.
I've just the MIDI-USB cable for now.
