  • TD-17KVX click mode - why does it always accent the fourth beat?

Hi, I am new to drums and music in general, so I apologize if this is a stupid question.

I have a Roland TD-17KVX, and I am trying to practice using its click mode. Here is a pic of the click menu. I am trying to practice to a time signature of 7/16 (as you can see in the pic, I have set the 'Beat' to 7, and the 'Rhythm Type' to 16th notes).

I want the 'accented' click after every 7 16th notes (by 'accented click', I mean the first click/note of the measure sounding different than all the other clicks/notes, so you know when a new measure starts). The kit however seems to be accenting every 4th click, as if I was trying to play in 4/4 time.

Any fellow TD-17 owners, that know how I can achieve this? If I didn't phrase my question clearly enough, please let me know. Thanks!
