  • No rim triggering with Roland pad on Strike module

I just got a used Strike module and tried 2 Roland pads plus 2 cables. The head works fine but there is no rim triggering. I adjusted alot of settings[there aren't that many]. Anyone get this to work?

I only had Roland pads for about a week with my strike, but never had any problem getting both zones.

Granted this was firmware 1.1 and now we're up to 1.5.

My best suggestion is to be sure you have the rim set to piezo. I know you're smart enough to do that but that setting is easy to miss

Definitely have the rim on piezo and tried full gain. On my diamond drums pad, the rim works if I hit the shell. It seems to need a very high gain.

          Strange.

Weird. It used to work, I wonder if they intentionally removed the capability or if by accident (There have been 4 or 5 major firmware updates since it came out)
