  • Module reset on 2nd hand kit?

Hello all, I have just purchased a kd12 kit with lots of additional pads/cymbals (all Roland) on eBay. Having never owned an e-kit before would it by be useful to return it to factory settings before playing it so I can set it up myself? Is this even possible?

There is no KD12 kit ... assuming you meant TD-12 .... the owner's manual has the instructions you need. https://www.roland.com/us/support/by...wners_manuals/
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! ;)

      Yes, I mean a TD-12.

my question is, would there be any advantage to re setting to set it up fresh or am I just creating work for myself?

Yeah, it is usually a good idea to do a Factory reset on a used module since it is anybody's guess what the original owner has changed. If you read the instructions that recommend doing a Bulk dump first ..... that will save all the current settings if you are worried about that.
