Does roland CY series (crash ride etc) can they be installed on a regular acoustic cymbal stand? I've been always using rack and the hardware that came with e-drum set, but I'm trying to do an A2E and get rid of my rack. Thanks.

Yes, you can use standard cymbal stands. Just remember to use the CY mounting fittings (anti-rotation fitting) -
As allanjohn says above, use the anti-rotation fittings on any standard cymbal stand and you're golden. I'm happy to hear you're considering the idea of "losing the rack." While it works for many - and a number of acoustic kit players use racks for various sections of their kit - there's something wonderfully liberating about playing on an A2E kit without the rack. And all of those other non-rack piece of hardware are ideal for the snare, toms, even the cowpaddy. Go for it!Originally posted by wani87 View PostComment
