Perhaps the Preview button is getting stuck down slightly? That would normally repeat the last pad hit.

You could try setting its three volume levels to 0 at SETUP, CONTROL, PREVIEW.

  • (TD-12) Sounds triggered by vibration/taps on the sound module, feature or fault?

    Hallo!

I've had my TD-12 for a couple of years now. These two things seem related:
    • When I tap the sound module's case it re-triggers whatever I last hit
    • I often get an unwanted machine-gunning auto-triggering nightmare, and the kit becomes unplayable.

I figured these might be related (vibrations through the frame re-triggering) so I took the module off the frame and it didn't do it anymore, hurrah!
I have done a factory reset a few times. I have questions:
    • Is this triggering by tapping the module's case a feature or a fault?
    • If it's a feature can I turn it off?

I don't want to start fiddling with masking when the module seems to be the trigger and isolating it or disabling that feature is a more permanent and elegant fix.

    Thanks

    Alan
