DIY noise cancelling headphones

Hey everyone,
I thought I would share a little project I made, my inspiration was a video on youtube. I hate in ear headphones and since I have tinniuts I cannot stand very loud noises for long so I needed a good isolation headphone. So I bought a construction headphone, a cheap pair of on ear headphones and stuffed them inside. It works amazingly well! Since the speakers are really crappy I am considereing trying to convert my samson rh600 that have much better sound than these crappy ones or buy a cheapish but better set of small headphones.

Good idea but not noise-cancelling. I guess these are noise-isolating instead! Noise-cancelling cans use an external mic to pick up the ambient noise in the room, then reverse the phase of this noise and play it through the headphones in addition to the signal you're listening to. The external noise is then 'cancelled' due to phase inversion. I'd be REALLY impressed if you DIY'd that, that's why I came into this thread.

noise cancelling is garbage anyway, isolation headphones are universally superior

this is basically the diy version of gk ultraphones

Not possible around here. Over 30C and 99% humidity make my ears sweat like crazy. IEMs for me.
