  • El Cheapo rack top cymbal stand

The vertical end caps on each side of my rack looked enticing for enhancement.

I made 2 cymbal stands for my DIY e-kit, they cost about $7-8 each total, they work nice. Might not if you beat the heck out of them though (Fiber-Fix!)

    Parts list for two:

    2 x 1/2 dowels (poplar I think these are) 36" or 48"
    4 x Walmart 4" 5/16 Eye hooks
    Smaller bolts and wing nuts
    Larger 5/16 wing nuts
    Washers to fit
2 x Dremel cutting disk (provides grip between eye bolts to lock rotation)

Thanks all. Ha, I was wondering about that 'genitive' too.

If the dowels turn out to be non-rigid enough over time, Home Depot has 1/2" Aluminum tubing I think will work nice. These are functioning great since I added the cutting wheel in between the adjacent eyes. They don't budge at all now, since it grips them both sides. Could also use sandpaper back to back using 2 sided tape I'd think.
