  • FSR variable hat with the TD-9

Hey guys and gals, I just joined but hope to be a contributing member as I complete my build! I hadn't found what I was looking for and thought I'd ask outright. I just bought a TD-9 in preparation to convert my old Pearl Export kit to an e-kit and was looking for variable hi-hat trigger solutions. I was going to buy an fd-7 and call it good but remembered all of the DIY stuff out there for the variable hats. I hadn't seen the FSR yet, though! That looks awesome and I think I'm going to order one so I can use my hat stand. My question is this, will all features work with the TD-9? I ask because I have recently looked at this guys variable hat trigger:

I can't quite make out how he's building this thing, but it could be an FSR set up and he says in his description that it may not work properly with the TD-9, TD-12 or TD-20.

    What's the verdict?

    Should work.
    Sylv1co made it work with a TD10, Racer52 with a TD20.

A few threads about FSR already here. Good read.

    And here's a video :
