Has anyone come up with (or put any thought into) a way to make a TD20 module mount so the module is easily removed without keeping the base/stem attached?
I'm considering triggering acoustic drums for gigs and I'd like to easily remove the module and sit it flat on a crate next to me.
Also, there have been many discussions about carrying cases, for example, walmart gun cases, that would fit perfectly for transport if it weren't for the stem of the mount sticking out.
Hart's multipad has a sliding mounting set up that works well for a relatively heavier and bulkier piece of hardware (that you're hitting). Why can't the TD have a base like that? I'd love to keep the base clamped to my rack and simply slide the brain off for transport and to sit flat on a crate.
