  • Quest for Rubber cymbal emulation

In my quest to emulate Roland's rubber cymbals - I have come across these rubber cymbals in the UK.

    http://www.getmusical.co.uk/14--rubb...l-888_p-v.aspx

As you can see, they are rubber coated, and are pretty damn affordable. However, living on the other side of the planet to the UK is what's stopping me from trying them myself.

Just interested to know if anyone has tried these, and with what sort of results?

It turned out that plasti-dip rubber is a big (and expensive) waste of time. There's absolutely no problems with adherence, but the sound dampening quality is non-existent.

I'm not in the UK but, at that price I would think it is worth trying it out. Even if nobody has tried it yet. Heck, if they were sold in the U.S. I'd buy one in a heart beat. You just can't beat that price.
