  • Make a Dual Zone Cymbal Chokeable?

    Hey,

I was wondering if somehow you could stick an extra piezo to a single zone cymbal to make it dual zone, and then use this so that when the new trigger is triggered it chokes out the other sound.
I wanted to use it on my Alesis DM5, so once the trigger is on the cymbal I could probably mess around with setting the volume of the new trigger and the groups, but my problem would be sticking a piezo (or whatever) on the edge of a rubber cymbal. (I would have to edit the settings so that it wasn't very sensitive, thus not being affected by the other trigger)

So, is this possible on a rubber cymbal? I have no DIY knowledge at all.

    Thanks
Working...
