Thats a really tidy bit of DIY.

Did you use some feet off a table for your adjustable cone platform?
If so I've done the same because i couldn't find T-nuts to fit.

Hiya

I'm new to all this photo share stuff, hope it came across ok.

The leg is off a bath ha ha, this is ideal as a platform and that washer on top gives the piezo a more stable base.

Its the adjustable leg that you get on the bottom of some office desks and baths by the sound of it.

Looks like Dave has put a washer on top.

The big round plate was free off a friend, i thought it would be ideal for the job and would give even rim shot. The square jack connector ally plate and that big washer on top of the cone stand were out of my friends scrap metal bin, he's a total hoarder with a warehouse full of trash he he. But if ya need it then it's priceless.

The rim hit and cross stick are loud and even all around the drum (just as good as my PD105) The cross stick seems a little too sensitive so i think more seperation between that round black plate and rim piezo. I've tweaked the rim trigger settings but nothing is set much past factory original

For the head i had to set sensitivity from my normal 9 to 14 or 15, but i'm happy with that, i dont wanna mess with the foam under the cone cos i have perfect Positional Detection now whereas with 2 pieces of foam under the cone it was patchy.

I have no head hot spots, it's a good loud crack and the peak indicator hits red a little more than the Roland but nothing to worry about.

It's 99.9% there EDIT - i added a thin piece of Poron foam between rim piezo and round black plate - THINK IT'S SORTED!

Round metal plate thingy

Has anyone looked for the round metal plates in these pictures? I guess i'd need abouta 9" plate for the 10" tom and 11" for the 12" tom? Im so tired of cruising the isles at the local lowes. It took me forever just to find the crossbar metal. If anyone has any ideas, thanks. V
