Thanks guys, my first love is creating new looks and finishes. I have to thank Amonline for the idea though, he said he wanted to see a two headed pad a while back.
I no longer use diy triggers, I dont even make my own anymore. I just wanted to show off what could be done with a little creativity. Good luck folks and write if you need anything. Twww.EDrumForum.com Going to be strictly a DIY e Drum Community

Thank you guys for all the compliments, I will hopefully have an announcement to make soon regarding these drum pads.
The next batch will be done in Walnut so I can start putting together a catalog of sorts with various colors and such. I have lined up a few impartial folks to test these and will be sending out some retail samples as I finish them.
One of the features that you cant see is cutting the lead time to a fraction of the time it takes to manufacture its acoustic counterpart. Mostly due to the interior and also some new steps in the finishing process. I am glad you all like them. I will have some new pics up soon, Thanks, Tom Kwww.EDrumForum.com Going to be strictly a DIY e Drum Community

Looks great. Just one question. It looks like you've got SilenTrim on the hoops. How do you access the turning nuts - my trim makes them inaccessible?

I think the general fade process involves spraying a dye or stain in various color depths or shades. I dont use that method but it is an awesome way to a great fade. I prefer freehand and a more handmade look to the drum.
I have been using and evolving my process for about 10 years now. I have learned alot just by making mistakes and trial and error.
