I'm trying to make it so that it won't take such a hard hit to trigger it...I want to make it more sensitive I should say...any ideas on how to do that?

can you give us any information on how you have it set up so we can help you better?
i would turn the threshold down and sensitivity up in your module. As far as hardware goes you will have to tell us what you have.Last edited by BeyondStupidity; 05-23-08, 01:02 AM.

ok, i see. ummm i would say..... i dont know how stiff the foam between the head and piezo is, that may make a difference. the way i have my stuff mounted goes: cross bar, double sided foam disc the size of ceramic on piezo, then piezo with the ceramic side toward the head, then the foam cone(or block).

Through my testing I have found for me at least stiff foam is better

I put a longer piece of foam across where the piezo is...horizontally that is. Both beaters hit near the end of it. It's more sensitive BUT is still not picking up as easily as I want...anyone else have any ideas?

I have also notice on the kicks that I have done that they seem to trigger better if the trigger is not directly in line with the beaters. I find that I get the best triggering with the piezo mount placed above or below where the beaters impact the head. also make sure the cross bar is very vigid or it will bend on impact, if you can move your crossbar by pushing on it with your fingers it's to flexible.

TD-6V...I notice when I switch the the bass to the snare drum plug-in on the back and switch it to a KD sound(instead of a snare) it's really sensitive. I like but I wish the bass port was as sensitive.

Try changing the pad type in the TD-6V .... You mentioned that it is more sensitive plugged into the snare input.... I doubt the input is more sensitive. More likely it is the trigger parameters that are set different. Try a mesh head pad type in the trigger parameters and raise the sensitivity if it needs it.I could tell you where to stick that piezo! ;)

See I don't know how or if you can change the sensitivity...I've tried. Can't seem to find it if it's an option.
