My first DIY kit is done...mostly

Nice job. What will you use as a module? Did you "fire it up?". I am looking to build a DIY 14" snare .... this is building my confidence.

Yeah, the real test is firing it up and seeing how everything triggers. The area covered by the foam seems a little big compared to others that I've seen, but I'm no expert by any means. What are the big white 'strips' under the foam? Looks like it's sitting on top of the crossbar.
Is that a badge that you but through? Just curious. How were your cuts on the toms? Pretty smooth?
And are those mylar heads? If so, they're still kind of loud, no?
All single zone or are there rim triggers as well?
From what I've read, you'll want to put a patch on the kick, particularly if you're using felt beaters.

Oh...and nice pink wall...goes well with the Rock Star energy drink!

Yeah, I have a TD-6V. I have fired it up and it works great. the snare is dual trigger the rest I quick put together but if I ever want dual they are pretty simple to rig up.

The toms are all 8 inchers so I got smaller sensors....the bass drum and snare are using 35mm piezos as the snare also has a 27mm piezo for a rim sensor.

The foam pieces are different sizes to try and see which ones(sizes) work best. bigger to me seems better...better coverage or whatever.

The white things are curtain rods(thin wide ones)...held up by L brackets and double stick tape.

My cuts on the toms were good...I used a jig saw to do it. It was the worst part as well because they were so nice nice looking The heads will be mesh its just they are on backorder till the end of the month...When I do get them they will be much quieter.

Yes I plan on putting a patch on the bass...I'm going out to grab one tomorrow.

And the pink wall is because I'm living with my grandmother while I'm in film school.

Looks like a great DIY build. The only advice that I might share with you is that you might want to offset the kick drum piezos so the beaters are not directly impacting the foam/piezo. The piezos are very delicate and will probably not withstand the direct pounding. Just my 2 cents.
