  • Replacing Alesis Piezo

Hi! I recently bought an Alesis DM8 used from an acquaintance. Before I bought it, I was told that the first tom and the kick drum were on their way out and that is definitely true. They only work about half the time, if I'm lucky. I've been watching videos and doing some online research and my best guess is that I need to replace the piezos.

Would a 27mm piezo work? Does replacing the piezo seem like the right way to go to fix intermittent sound?

    Thanks in advance!

Open it up and check all the cables - piezo and socket. Wobble to see if they cause a trigger. Replace with same size piezo if necessary.
