  • DIY Snare & Splitter

Just had a cracker of a day building my first ever AtoE snare and splitter out of bits laying around the house.
Piezos for the snare came out of old Yamaha pads and the splitter was made out of old stereo parts.
Only took a little bit of tweaking and they both work really well.

After 48 hours with this drum, my only concern is the acoustic volume of rimshots.
Does anyone have the same problem and have worked out a solution?
e.g. gluing rubber to the rim?
    Thanks in advance.

      Never mind!
Came up with a reasonable solution today with fuel hose.
