    need help soldering for kick trigger jack [Roland]

    I'm about to do my first kick drum convert from A to E I have part ready but kind of confusing on how to solder the red/black wires to the mono jack for Roland [TD30]. Please help. Thanks. Also, mount the cone on the ceramic side of the piezo, right?

      i saw that Beatnik diagram but i'm a little confuse because my jack is mono and don't know which one is tip, ring or sleeve

        Mono has no ring. Just tip and sleeve
        E-kit: Roland td-8 VexPressions, DIY drums of various manufacturers custom wrap bum wrap, Krylon flat black hoops, Gen16's triggered, Addictive drums, QSC K-12, Roland SPD, jeredsystem bass drum lights. A-kit: Mapex Orion Classics, purple burl, gold plated lugs, Sabian Cymbals.

          If it is a mono jack just wire the red wire from the piezo to either of the short prongs and the black wire to the long prong that has the 2 wings on it.
          I could tell you where to stick that piezo! ;)

                since roland kick only use single trigger [i think] that why i bought a mono jack and use mono 1/4 cable to connect to my TD-30.
