  • Roland direct parts PD108BC 128BC to insert into a drum shell for conversions?

I am in the process of my first DIY A-E conversion. I am using my PDP X7 maple shells and Quartz Triggers with an aluminum crossbar method. While doing some research on the components of the vdrums I wanted to ask if anyone has used parts direct from Roland (ie - the frame up to the sensor cone and everything in between) for a drop in solution on standard drum shells??

Apart from Daniel's link people have. certainly using the drop in Roland baskets although there is some small adjustments I think. There was a poster on here a while ago who did exactly that with LOADS of pics but I can't remember what his name was. Try a search plus check out youtube etc etc.....not sure how cost effective it would be as per a total diy...

I built pans and my own copies of the new trigger assemblies to Roland's specs from scratch. There was a build thread somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.
