Buying Shells or a shell pack in the UK

Hi,
Just finished my diy electric kit and have been using that for band practices etc but I would now like an acoustic kit for gigs.
What I wanted to do was buy the bare shells from a well known company like Sonor or DW then put my own wrap and hardware on. (arctic white with black hardware).
Has anybody done this before or know of a place in the uk that sells DW, sonor, ect bare shells at a good price?

I don't think a major company like Sonor or DW would sell their shells to anybody, only as a completed kit but Highwood are in the UK and sell their brand of shells in various woods.

They are rather pricey though, ive emailed certain companies to see if they will sell me just the shells, dont think they will though.

Look up Keller Shells in the UK. A lot of companies use Keller shells to make their drums.

Shipping could be £40 - 50 Sounds like an expensive project so far ...

Is it an acoustic kit you are building or an acoustic electric hybrid? what size toms (diameter and depth) and bass drum are you gonna be using?

If it's totally acoustic u need then PDP have a new cool cheque pattern kit out with black hardware www.pacificdrums.com it's the PDP 805 series ...

Im goingfor an acoustic kit, already got an electric for practices..
Nice find with the PDP, thats the sort of kit I would go for.
regarding sizes;
Bass drum 20"x18"
Snare 14"x6"
Tom 13"x8"
floor tom 16"x16"
but yeah im going to have read some reviews on that kit before I decide on anything.

There is also Stdrums in Germany. I recently imported a replacement snare lever for one of my A kits. They have all sorts of stuff, loads of different shells, and all the hardware you might need, at pretty good prices. I'm very tempted by one of their 'snare kits' where you pick a spec, and they send you all the components to put together yourself.........If only I hadn't just spent £240 in poole percussion's sale..................
