cymbal stacking

I've been messing around with stacking 2 cymbals on top of each other for different sounds. Have any of you done this and if so what combo's do you use?

I typically use splashes inside chinas, with the splash always being 4" smaller than the china. That combination seems to work best.

Stacking is the way to go. I got tired of setting a lot of stands up, so tonight I bought a drum cage. I can hang the cymbals off the overhead rack front and sides. I like the look of stacked splash cymbals.

In my toying around I found that a 18 china, set on top of a 20 inch ride ( so that the edges on the china point up) makes kind of a cool, huge but really fast sound.

Terry Bozzio has quit a few cymbal stacks, but the sound that I find really cool is a 20" crash on a 20" china.... it sounds different than any other cymbal(combo)'s I've heard.

A nice one is also placing a bell on top of a crash, makes a nice short trashy sound with some really weird overtones.
