I bought my friends acoustic kit off him and my dads saying i cant play it as my electric kit was too loud for my neighbours (they got really annoyed). Is there any reliable ways to quiet them down a lot without losing the feel? I bought the acoustic drums because my millenium mps-100 edrums feel like hitting plastic. Ive played on practice pads in a shop and they do silence it, but they feel quite horrible. Has anyone got any ideas?

Your electric kit was too loud, so you went out and bought an acoustic?
Those rubber pads that go over the heads do quiet them quite a bit, but I fear they will not be any quieter than the electric kit....and there's the feel factor. What about mesh heads on the acoustics?
